I was introduced to Di Venn (Miraje Border Collies) in November 2000 and, although I was in awe of this successful exhibitor and breeder, asked her if I could possibly have a pup off of her at some point.

In May 2001 I found myself in Telford visiting Anna Fox who had the Miraje affix in partnership with Di and had a litter.  I couldn’t believe it but I was given pick of litter – I confess I didn’t have a clue what I was looking for and after ages we finally whittled it down to a choice of two bitches.  I picked them up, one at a time -  the first one looked away from me, next was Maisie.  She looked me in the eyes and gave me a big lick – that was it, she’d picked me!

What can I say about ‘The Mops’ or ‘Cowbag’.   I know you shouldn't have favourites but I adore this girl and she is thoroughly spoilt.  She was Best Puppy at LKA in 2001 and has her Stud Book Number.  She is lightly shown now as she'd much rather be chasing a ball around the paddock than strutting her stuff in the show ring!  However, she did get a 2nd place at Crufts in 2005.
