Harry came to live with us when he was 8.  Colin decided that he would like to show Australian Shepherds and our friends, Penny & Don Richards (Accra Australian Shepherds) decided that Harry would be ideal dog to introduce both Colin & myself to the Aussie breed.  Harry did really well as a youngster and was the Top Import in 1999.  He is the only home-bred Aussie to date to have held the Top Dog award. Harry was shown a few times by Colin and we took him to Crufts in 2002 where he came 2^nd in the Veteran class.  He was retired from the show ring following a testicular tumour and castration – some judges just could not get past the fact that the old fellow was missing some of his bits!

Harry was given sleep to prevent further suffering when he developed a breathing problem.  X-rays showed that his heart was enlarged and he only had limited lung capacity.  He was a true gentleman to the end and is sorely missed by all at Karingal.
